In the current economic climate, is it possible to have a weekend city break to Prague for less than £100 per person?

The answer is a resounding yes - the latest Prague city break offers for February and March are available for under £100 per person if you know where to look.

To get your costs under the £100 per person budget you wil have to make a few sacrifices, for flights your only option to lower your costs is to fly with Easyjet - not the world’s best airline, but you can’t beat the price. On top of that for hotel accommodation you are looking at a basic room only at a small 2-star or 3-star hotel at most and probably not in the city centre, no 5-star hotels for this budget I’m afraid to say.

So here are my recommendations for a city break to Prague for under £100 per person for your classic sleep-and-go-sightseeing break.

Flights: A cheap flight to Prague with Easyjet for example departing on Saturday 28th February for 3-nights from London Gatwick at 07:00 starts from £66 per person. Flight time from the UK to Prague is about 2-hours.

2-Star Prague Hotel: Fortuna Luna is located close to both Prague fair grounds: PVA Letnany and Holesovice Exhibition Ground. Good value for money spacious accommodation is available to all guests choosing to stay at this 2-star hotel. Located in the northern part of Prague the Fortuna Luna Hotel provides quality guestrooms at affordable prices. Located slightly away from the busy city centre yet within easy reach of major attractions by Prague’s excellent public transport system. A Standard Double room with Bed and Breakfast from Saturday 28th February for 3 nights starts from £60 per room for 2-adults sharing.

3-Star Prague Hotel: On first glance the Globus Hotel may appear to be slightly away from the very heart of Prague but we urge you all to look again! Fabulous value for money in a modern well equipped hotel which is no more than 20 minutes away from downtown historical Prague and all of its famed cultural attractions. Lying next to Kunraticky Forest considered by some to be the cleanest part of Prague the hotel is just a 3-minute walk to Roztyly metro station line C which links directly with the city centre. A Standard Double room only from Saturday 28th February for 3 nights starts from £64 per room for 2-adults sharing.

What can you do in Prague? View the changing of the guard at Prague Castle or join the early morning Mass at the gothic Saint Vitus’s cathedral (at 7am during the week) or relax in the beautiful Wallenstein Garden located in the middle of Mala Strana. Total cost: City Breaks to Prague in February starts from about £97 per person departing on Saturday 28th February for 3-nights from London Gatwick Airport staying at either the Fortuna Luna hotel or the Globus hotel outside Prague City Centre.
