After the grey and cold winter, colorful flowers bloom and carpet everywhere from Japan to Belgium. Here are eight best places where you can see spring flowers including Mojave Desert in California, Keukenhof Gardens in Netherlands and Umbria in Italy.
Keukenhof Gardens from the Netherlands, the world’s largest tulip garden in the world, is home to 4.5 million Dutch tulips of about 100 varieties covering 80 acres such as dark pink China tulips, yellow West Point tulips and red Mariette tulips. It also has other types of flowers (daffodils and hyacinths), sculptures and trees.

Though the Friday’s disastrous earthquake and tsunami has prevented many tourists from visiting Japan this spring, white and pink cheery blossoms are seen across the country, especially in larger cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya. Tokyo's Yasukuni Shrine is home to a dense concentration of blossoms in full bloom.

During the spring, the Mojave Desert is deeply covered with orange fluorescent California poppy flowers. This area consists of the 1,745-acre Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve, home to poppies and other wildflowers.

Besides natural carpets of orange poppies across the Atlantic, visitors also travel Italy's hilly Umbria region for darker orange poppies from mid-April to May and spectacular hiking opportunities throughout the region as well as in neighboring Tuscany.
